Working group Promoting Young Talent / Specialists

The Chipdesign Germany Working Group on Young Talent, led by Prof. Holger Blume and Nils Stanislawski (both Leibniz University Hannover), focuses on…
  1. organizing events to promote microelectronics among school and university students, such as:
    • Invent a Chip – a school competition focusing on microelectronics (invent-a-chip.de),
    • the COSIMA student competition,
    • and student camps on green electronics,
  2. the research laboratory for early-career researchers in integrated electronics (ForLab NataliE),
  3. organizing summer schools for students of electrical engineering and computer science,
  4. creating an engaging video series to promote microelectronics,
  5. producing white papers with proposals to the BMFTR for further measures to address the shortage of young talent as well as
  6. supporting teachers in communicating career opportunities in the field to students
