DI-HYPRSENSE
Virtual Prototypes for the Design of Modern Sensor Systems
DI-HYPRSENSE creates virtual prototypes for the design of modern sensor systems, enabling early validation and optimization before chip tape-out. Virtual prototyping saves costs and significantly accelerates the development process.
Objectives and Approach
The goal is to fundamentally improve and accelerate the development of integrated sensor systems through simulation models (virtual prototypes). The project pursues two technical approaches: advancing SystemC-AMS for accurate analog MEMS modeling and developing a VHDL-to-SystemC converter to enable reuse of existing digital circuit blocks.
Innovations and Perspectives
Closing gaps in the open-source design flow simplifies the development of chips integrating analog MEMS sensor components and digital circuits in modern sensor systems. Virtual prototypes enable faster, more cost-effective chip design and shorten innovation cycles in MEMS sensing.
