The DATE conference is the main European event bringing together designers and design automation users, researchers and vendors as well as specialists in the hardware and software design, test and manufacturing of electronic circuits and systems. DATE puts a strong emphasis on both technology and systems, covering ICs/SoCs, reconfigurable hardware and embedded systems as well as embedded software.

The CDG focus session Improving Chip Design Enablement for Universities in Europe will bring together stakeholders of initiatives aiming to strengthen chip design education and research from different European countries, the EU level and the US. The participants will explore the critical challenges, opportunities and potential strategies facing chip design enablement in European academic institutions. The session will be held in the panel format with active audience participation to guarantee inclusiveness and foster a broad view of the topic.
