FAU Research Center Embedded Systems Initiative (FAU ESI)

The FAU Research Center Embedded Systems Initiative (FAU ESI) is a central scientific institution of Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg. FAU ESI acts as a pioneer and incubator for fundamental research in the field of embedded systems, particularly in the three key areas of embedded AI, post-silicon technologies, and open-source hardware. It thus promotes the development of open, freely accessible hardware solutions and supports research in chip design. The center offers an interdisciplinary environment for the development of innovative solutions, with members from various chairs, departments, and faculties of FAU collaborating.
