www.ihp-microelectronics.com/IHP – Leibniz Institute for High Performance Microelectronics is a non-university research institution based in Frankfurt (Oder) and a member of the Leibniz Association. Founded in 1983, the institute employs more than 400 staff from over 30 nations and is recognised as one of the world’s leading centres for silicon–germanium technologies. IHP conducts research on silicon-based systems, high-frequency circuits and technologies for wireless and broadband communication. Its activities also include research on advanced materials, semiconductor technologies and intelligent edge systems. Through its in-house pilot line for SiGe BiCMOS and silicon photonics technologies, the institute not only develops scientific foundations and application-oriented prototypes but also provides research, transfer and manufacturing services for academia and industry. In this way, IHP acts as a bridge between research, technology development and industrial application. Its technologies support a wide range of applications, from telecommunications and the semiconductor industry to automotive, aerospace, telemedicine and automation.
