DI-ChipsEDU
Open Educational Platform to Strengthen the Skilled Workforce in Chip Design
DI-ChipsEDU builds an open educational platform to strengthen the skilled workforce in chip design. Practice-oriented, freely accessible learning materials and environments specifically support students and career starters.
Objectives and Approach
The project creates an open-source teaching environment for FPGA-based chip design, encompassing hardware, design software, and comprehensive teaching formats. FPGAs provide a practical and accessible foundation for chip design education.
Innovations and Perspectives
DI-ChipsEDU aims to reach a broad user base in industry and academia. The initiative is supported by Chipdesign Germany and ChipsNRW to incorporate user needs early and develop practically relevant teaching content.
