Bavaria is recognized as one of Europe’s key regions for the semiconductor and microelectronics industry. In 2021, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs launched the Semiconductor Initiative to enhance the sector's resilience and competitiveness. With support from the Bavarian Chips Alliance, efforts continue to strengthen industry networks, foster collaboration, and position Bavaria’s semiconductor ecosystem effectively on the global stage.

The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs will host the fourth edition of the Bavarian Semiconductor Congress in 2025. The event brings together professionals from industry, research, and government to exchange insights on current challenges and future developments in semiconductors. Attendees can benefit from expert presentations, networking opportunities, and a digital matchmaking platform that complies with data protection regulations.

The Bavarian Semiconductor Congress 2025 will take place on June 2, 2025 in Munich, Germany. The event is jointly organized by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Bavarian Chips Alliance.
